"On your knee."

"Oh. I don't know. A scrape?"

"It looks like carpet burn."

"Oh. I guess so. I don't know."

"And what's that on your elbow?"

"Huh?"

"On your elbow."

"Oh. Um, carpet burn, I guess."

"But your floors are bamboo."

"What?"

"How did you get carpet burn if your floors are bamboo?"

"Oh. Must have been when I fell down the basement stairs. Remember? I told you about that."

"Oh. Okay. Wait..."

"What?"

"Wasn't that like four months ago?"

"Um, right."

"So how do you explain that?"

"Explain what?"

"Those look fairly recent. How can that be if they happened four months ago?"

"Oh. I'm a slow healer?"

"Oh yeah. I guess I forgot about that."
